01 / ABOUT THE PLACE
About this place
In a quiet setting, Sushi Tada in Tsukiji 2-chome serves seasonal small dishes alongside neatly crafted sushi at an easy pace. The omakase course alternates sushi with snacks such as a clam soup and small side dishes, starting with the first plates and keeping the meal engaging to the last bite as you enjoy a drink. The sushi is served on red-vinegar rice at a measured temperature, with seafood prepared to bring out its individual character: mackerel pressed sushi and conger eel, as well as octopus, white tilefish, mantis shrimp and monkfish liver.
Each piece, enhanced by fine sake and white wine
A thoughtfully selected drinks list adds another dimension to the meal. Alongside sake from across Japan—including Miyagi’s extra-dry Hidakami, Kochi’s Tosa Shiragiku and Fukui’s Kokuryu Junmai Daiginjo—there is draft beer and whisky such as Yamazaki 12 Year and Hibiki. The wine list features Loire Sancerre as well as white Burgundies such as Côte de Beaune and Puligny-Montrachet, offering the option of pairing the savoury character of fish with wine’s mineral notes.
A relaxed dinner in a composed setting
The dining room has a polished, refined feel without being stiff, and attentive hospitality helps make for a comfortable evening. Dinner service runs from 18:00 to 23:00, and booking ahead is recommended to allow the restaurant to prepare your seats. Payment is accepted by credit card and PayPay. It is a considered choice for a special meal or an evening spent taking time over seasonal fish and good drinks.
